Garage or unit heaters are pretty much ductless forced-air furnaces. So many of the same principles apply. Like a forced-air furnace, the heater will have both wearable and replaceable parts. Almost every part in a unit heater can be replaced and although most parts are quite reliable, there is a chance that you may experience a failure at some point. Wearable parts will need to be replaced periodically to prevent nuisance shutdowns.
